Towson head coach Shawn Nadelen announced on Tuesday evening that attackman Jon Mazza had been grated a full release from Towson. Mazza was a rising senior and one of the Tigers core pieces on offense that they had coming back.

In 2018 Mazza had 16 goals and 8 assist for the Tigers. Mazza would only play in eight games last season as he found himself in some trouble and was suspend for the final seven games of the season. According to Nadelen Mazza was suspended due to violation of team rules.

This is a big loss for Towson as they lose one of their key pieces on offense. That offensive unit does return four projected starters. Senior’s Timmy Monahan, Grant Maloof, and Brendan Sunday sophomore attackman Phil Wies are all guys that should start or see significant minutes for the Tigers in 2019.

  1. If you can't follow team rules you should leave. No matter how good a player is a cancer among the team can ruin a team and all around it. Better off a fresh start for all.
