Villanova has gotten a commitment from the number 80 prospect, according to Inside Lacrosse, in the class of 2020 in Jack Cerza. The 4-star midfielder out of Delbarton (NJ)/BBL – 2020 is the highest ranked player in 2020 class currently committed to Villanova and the 2nd 4-star. Cerza committed to Villanova over schools such as Notre Dame, Johns Hopkins, Cornell, and others.
Cerza is a threat to shoot from multiple spots on the field. He is able to dodge down the alley and get off good shots on the run. As a midfielder he is a good up top dodger and he can also make things happen in transition. Cerza is able to use his explosiveness to his advantage as he can get ground balls and turn things from chaos into a shot opportunity. He also has a great stick and crisp passes as well.
The Junior joins a 2020 recruiting class at Villanova that ranks 29th in the country and currently only has one other 4-star commit in attackman Tucker Goodelle out of Lake Norman HS (NC)/ 24.7 Lacrosse – 2020. The other three commitments that Villanova has is the 2020 class are midfielder Jack Neil from Salisbury (CT)/ Thunder LB3 – 2020, goalie Nico Lacovino out of Downington East HS (PA)/ Rising Sons – 2020, and midfielder Tommy Miller from The Rivers School (MA)/ Top Gun Fighting Clams – 2020.
