ALL Three Stars Week One: Thompson, Burke, Vradenburg Start the Season Hot

The 2018-19 ALL season got underway this weekend and we have already seen some great games and fantastic performances by teams an individual players. Here’s your week three stars from week of of the ALL.

First Star 

Ty Thompson, F, Peterborough Timbermen

Thompson got the 2018-19 season off to a hot start as he helped lead Peterborough to a 13-11 victory over Six Nations on Sunday. In the win Thompson tallied 10 points (6G,4A). Thompson looks to be rolling with the Timbermen early on in his first season in the ALL.

Second Star

Mike Burke, F, Paris Riverwolves

The Brampton, Ontario native and 2018 ALL MVP got off to a hot start as he tallied 8 points (4G,4A) to led the Riverwolves to a 12-11 victory over the Whitby Steelhawks. Burke looks to have another great season as he should be on track to scoring 200 plus points this season if he keeps this trend up. Burke has 129 career points in the ALL thus far.

Third Star

Mark Vradenburg, F, Peterborough Timbermen

Helping the Peterborough Timbermen to a 13-11 victory over the Six Nations Snipers on Sunday Vradenburg tallied 8 points (2G,6A). It’s a great start to Vradenburg’s second season as he looks to put similar numbers to last season. 

Honorable Mentions

Jordan Dance (F, Toronto Monarchs) would help the Monarchs to a 16-14 victory over the Snipers as he tallied 6 points (2G,4A) in the win.
Ian Martin (F, Six Nations Snipers) had great opening weekend as he tallied a total of 9 points in the Snipers two games this weekend. In the Snipers 16-14 loss to the Monarchs Martin has 3 points (2G,1A) and in their 13-12 loss against the Timbermen Martin tallied 6 points (1G,5A).
Gowah Abrams (G, Saint Catherines Shockwave) had a great start to the season in net for Saint Catherines. In their 11-7 win over the Oshawa Outlaws Abrams was a brick wall only allowing 6 goals against.

  1. Hopefully, we see Ty Thompson back in the NLL soon. That’s where he belongs. Great to see him doing good things in the ALL.
