PLL Announces 30 Finalist Locations

The PLL has announced the 30 finalist cities that will then be narrowed down to 12 for the inaugural 2019 PLL season. These locations were revealed live on YouTube. During that stream Paul Rabil discussed the metrics they used to determine and decide these final 30 cities out of 120 cities that they looked at. Some of these metrics included population, current pro sports franchises, and more. 

Of the thirty cities that made this list six have MLL franchises – Baltimore, Boston, Dallas, Charlotte, Miami, and Columbus – have MLL franchises in the city or greater area. Four of the target cities – Toronto, Vancouver, Buffalo, and Rochester – have NLL franchises. While Atlanta, New York, and Denver – currently have an NLL and MLL franchise. (New York has been announced as an NLL expansion team for the 2019-20 season.)
