Mercer has gotten a commitment from Mill Creek (GA)/LB3 – 2020 defenseman Logan Tucker. The 5’11 160LB junior defenseman is the second commitment for Mercer in the 2020 class.
This commitment from Logan Tucker comes after a visit to Mercer over the weekend. He has also visited Utah in the last month as well.
Tucker is the type of player that can cover a ton of ground on defense and make those sideline to sideline plays. He is a good cover man that can really disrupt his man and cause turnovers to happen.
In transition Tucker is a threat as well. He can really push the ball up the field after a turnover and has the skills to make something happen as well. Tucker definitely has the ability to run as a Long Stick Midfielder (LSM) as well as close defense.
With the addition of Tucker Mercer now has two commits in the class of 2020. Currently, the Bears other 2020 commit is Dublin Jerome (OH)/Haymakers LC defensemen Zach Dubois.
An extra little nugget is that there are now three players named Logan Tucker Committed to DI schools in the class of 2020.
