The Syracuse Orange have gotten a commitment from Archbishop Stepinac (NY)/Prime Time junior midfielder Joey Carino. This commitment comes after Carino took a visit to Syracuse last month.
Carino is a good shooter who can also be a threat on the defensive end of the field as well. He is best shooting from up top either off the dodge or in a catch and shoot situation. He is able to find and create space to get shots off and can feed as well.
Carino can also do damage in the transition game splitting the defense and pushing the ball up the field. A dual-sport athlete Carino also plays quarterback for Stepinac’s football team.
Syracuse currently has the 20th ranked 2020 recruiting class in the country accoring to Inside Lacrosse. Carino joins a recruiting class at Syracuse that boats four 4-star caliber players in attackman Blake Erlbeck, LSM Tommy Drago, defenseman Jack Witherspoon, and attackman Camden Hay.
