International Indoor Junior Lacrosse (IIJL) and the World Junior Lacrosse Championships (WLJLC) announced on Monday afternoon that Israel will be one of the six nations competing in the 2019 WJLC. The event will take place in Hamilton, ON at the FirstOntario Centre from August 6th-11th.
Israel is the fifth nation added to the 2019 tournament after Australia was added back in November.
In a press release WJLC Chair and General Manager Chris Fox said, “The growth of lacrosse in Israel has been amazing. We’re excited to welcome Israel back to the World Juniors and to see their experience and development pay off.”
At the 2019 WJLC Israel will join Canada, Iroquois, United States, and Australia. A six nation will be announced over the next few weeks.
