2019 attackman Jack Rooney out of St. Dominic’s (NY) has announced his commitment to Furman. The attackman gives Furman their 23rd commitment in the 2019 recruiting cycle.
Rooney was previously committed to Holy Cross before decommiting and giving his pledge to Furman and head coach Richie Meade.
The attackman is a good finisher and shooter who can really sneak inside and get on the backside of a defense. He is a good catch and shoot type of player as well as a guys that can hitch and go from the wings as well.
Rooney also has the skill set to play from various spots on the field. He can get it done from behind the cage at “X”, up top, on the wings, and inside as well. The attackman is also a good feeder as he can find open guys and get them the ball with crisp passes.
