What a day it was, with 29 games across the country that made for an exciting Saturday filled with lacrosse. We saw upsets, highlight reel goals, impressive performances, and it’s still February.
Some of the big storylines coming out of this first FULL Saturday of action include Villanova upsetting #1 Yale…Again, Loyola making another statement as they burned Johns Hopkins. Duke also took down Denver by one goal out west and Syracuse throttled Albany in the Dome to get their first win of the season. The Army Black Knights also got a huge win with a 10-9 victory of Rutgers.

Georgetown took down Robert Morris while Jake Carraway entered the 100-point club.

Penn State got out early and finished as they burned Stony Brook to move to 3-0 on the season. Mac O’Keefe tallied his 100th point for the Nittany Lions in the win.

The Pat Spencer Kevin Lindley connection was certainly used as the Greyhounds put away Johns Hopkins and won the Battle of Charles Street 18-12.

Rutgers was upset by Army as the Black Knights made their second statement win in two weeks. The Black Knights edged the Scarlet Knights by a score of 10-9.

Villanova did it again! The Wildcats went into New Haven and took down the number one ranked Yale Bulldogs in an overtime victory.

After taking a tough season opening loss at home against Colgate Syracuse rebounded with a 13-5 win over Albany in the Carrier Dome. Bradley Voigt was the catalyst for the Orange with 6 goals and 1 assist.
