On Friday morning the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) announced that the second week of their inaugural 2019 season will be played at Red Bull Arena in New York. July 8th and 9th are the dates that the PLL will be in New York at Red Bull Stadium.
Red Bull Stadium will play host to the PLL during their New York stop. The New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer are the main tenants of Red Bull Stadium. The stadium has also hosted Rugby games as well as other events.
The PLL going to New York was evident and Red Bull arena was likely to the be host stadium. PLL co-founder Paul Rabil is a Red Bull athlete and has filmed a lacrosse commercial for Warrior at Red Bull Stadium.
Red Bull Stadium will also be a site for the playoffs in the PLL. The league will return to New York on September 14th during the playoffs.
This announcement comes just a week after the league announced that their inaugural season will kickoff at Gillette Stadium in Boston. The league has now unveiled 2 of the 12 cities that will be host during the inaugural PLL season.
At the press conference last week, PLL co-founder Paul Rabil sated that the rest of the locations and venues for the inaugural 2019 PLL season will be announced at the end of the month.
Last month the PLL announced their 30 finalist cities for their inaugural 2019 season.
