The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) has announced that the third week of their inaugural 2019 season will be played in Chicago at SeatGeek Stadium. June 15th-16th are the dates that the PLL will be in Chicago for week three of the 2019 PLL season.

SeatGeek Stadium will play host to the PLL during their stop in Chicago. The Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer are the main tenants of SeatGeek Stadium. It is the second MLS stadium the PLL has chosen out of their three announced stops thus far.

Week three of the 2019 season will mark the first trip away from the east coast where the game of lacrosse is more established as of now. While Chicago isn’t a ‘traditional’ hotbed the game is growing rapidly in the Midwest, just like other parts of the country.

After week three the PLL will host their Midwest Showcase on June 18-19th in Montgomery, Ill. This event will provide training and evaluation for high school players. With 24 college coaches in attendance from DI, DII, and DIII, Players have an oppourtunity for recruiting exposure.

This announcement comes off of the heels of the PLL announcing the name and identities of their six teams on Tuesday and the coaching staff’s on Thursday. The PLL has announced their week one and week two locations over the past few weeks.
