As first reported by Inside Lacrosse’s Ty Xanders, Notre Dame freshman A/M Ramsey McCreary will be transferring to Utah after the spring semester. McCreary is not currently listed on the Irish roster, but did play in two games this season.
The Woodlands (Texas) product was ranked as the number 63 freshman by Inside Lacrosse coming into this season and rated as a 4-star. There is a possibility that McCreary could have four years of eligibility at Utah.
McCreary is a great off ball player, finding open space to catch and finish, usually in front of the cage. He is also a great dodger from the wings as well as behind the cage, slipping up and breaking defenders ankles to create space to shoot or feed. McCreary should have a spot upon arrival in Salt Lake City.
The Utes should have a stellar attack line next year with McCreary joining Jimmy Perkins and some of those other young guys like Quinn Buczek.
