Week five of the high school lacrosse season in Kentucky has arrived. Being the last week before spring break, there are a lot of games this week, but one stands out among the rest with the biggest lacrosse game in the state being played on Wednesday night.

Here are some things to watch for in week five of the high school lacrosse season across the Bluegrass:

This week there is only one game and one game only that you need to be watching for sure. The biggest high school rivalry in the country is renewed on Wednesday night at 7:00pm. Trinity host St. Xavier in a battle between hated rivals and the top teams in the state. It’s going to be a great one as always and you for sure will not want to miss it.

Trinity comes into this game with a 6-2 record and coming off of a good 10-9 win over Moeller (Ohio). St. Xavier sits at 6-1 and coming off a blowout 26-3 win over Manual. Matchup wise, this game presents each team with an opponent that is the best in-state team they will face all year, and the only one that is likely anywhere near their level at this point.

Other Games:

Male travels to Oldham County on Wednesday at 8PM.

Central Hardin travels to Collins on Wednesday at 7:30pm.

St. Xavier host New Trier (Ill.) on Friday at 5:30pm.
