Over the past few days we have seen two players in two different classes announce their commitment to play DI lacrosse. Furman picked up a commitment in the 2019 class while Bucknell grabbed a 2020 commitment.

St. Michael’s College High School (Ont.)/ Edge LSM Max Naysmith announced his commitment to Bucknell early this week.

The 5-foot-10, 170 pound junior may be on the smaller side, but he is a hustler. Chasing down ground balls and exploding off the ground he is able to jump-start the offense in transition. Naysmith can be a threat on both ends of the field, having the stick skills to move the ball and dish assist as well. Naysmith also plays box for Mimico and you can see the box influence in his game.

Furman picked up a commitment from New Albany (Ohio)/Haymakers midfielder Brode White. The 6-foot, 190 pound senior is a dual-sport athlete, playing football as well.

A good dodger from up top, White is able to beat his man and either shoot on the run coming down the middle or take the long outside rip. White is good at running in transition and being able to find the open man and make the right pass. He can also operate well in a pick and roll situations from up top, running as the passer or the picker. He should be able to fit into that Furman offensive system pretty well. White’s brother Andre currently plays at Hartford.
