There is another exciting weekend of college lacrosse action ahead of us, and it’s filled with conference matchups as each conference is now fully immersed into conference play. This weekend there are a few big games that include multiple TV games on CBS Sports Network, Big Ten Network, and ESPNU.

As far as big games go, the biggest may be Loyola vs Lehigh. This Patriot League battle could effect the conference standings in the long run as they two battle for the top spot in the conference. Some other big matchups include Lehigh @ Loyola, North Carolina @ Virginia, Notre Dame @ Duke, and more.

Marquee Matchups

Lehigh @ Loyola

It’s a heavyweight battle in the Patriot League as the Greyhounds and Mountain Hawks will battle it out for the top spot in the conference. Pat Spencer and the Loyola Greyhounds look to get their fourth straight win here, while Lehigh hasn’t lost since February and they look to keep it that way. It’s going to be an exciting one in Baltimore for sure.

Notre Dame @ Duke

These two teams are coming into this game with completely opposite storylines. Duke is 0-2 in the ACC and looking to get their first conference win of the season. Notre Dame is coming off of a win over Syracuse last weekend and they will be looking to get another one on Saturday behind a younger offense that has really impressed. The big question is how will the Duke defense hold up??

North Carolina @ Virginia

If the Tar Heels want to silence the naysayers and become a bigger part of the conversation then they need a win like this. With both teams currently undefeated in conference play. These two teams have seemed to be more offensive heavy this season, so this could be a very interesting one for sure.

Ohio State @ Penn State

In a Sunday night lacrosse matchup on the Big Ten Network the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions square off. Ohio State is coming off of their first loss of the season against Big Ten foe Rutgers, while Penn State just took down Maryland in the first Big Ten Sunday night matchup of the season. The Buckeyes will need this win to prove that the first half of the season wasn’t a fluke and Penn State will obviously want to keep on winning, especially in conference.
