According to reports, former Fairfield star Colin Burke will be transferring to Utah. The attackman put his name in the transfer portal back at the beginning of the season and hasn’t been with the Stags at all. Burke should have just one year of eligibility at Utah as a grad student.
Burke is a huge pickup for Utah as the leaders for the Stags offense for the three years he played for the Stags. Last season as junior Burke tallied 40 points (17G,23A) for the Stags. As a sophomore in 2017, Burke was named 1st team ALL-CAA and CAA Preseason Player of the Year.
The attackman left Fairfield pretty high up in the record books. Burke is 5th all-time in points with 144 and 7th all-time in assist with 55. Burke is also ranked 9th all-time in goals with 89.
Burke is the second big transfer that Utah has been able to grab for next season. Notre Dame freshman attackmam/midfielder Ramsey McCreary announced last month that he was heading to Utah after playing in just two games for the Irish before leaving the program.
That Utah offense is going scary next year with Burke joining the likes of Jimmy Perkins, Quinn Bucezk, and Ramsey McCreary.
