As first reported by Inside Lacrosse, Lehigh attackman Andrew Pettit will be returning to the Mountain Hawks for a fifth year. The senior tore his ACL in the preseason, thus having to sit out during the 2019 season.
Pettit had been one of the main catalyst for the Mountain Hawks offense, tallying 66 points (46G,20A) in 2018. The attackman’s absence was detrimental to Lehigh’s offense early on in the 2019 season as they struggled heavily through the first month of the season.
After going 1-3 in February the Mountain Hawks were able to finally put their offense together. Lehigh finished the 2019 season with an overall record of 9-8 while going 5-3 in the Patriot League. They made the Patriot League championship game where they lost to Army.
The Mountain Hawks will return just one of the top five scorers from last season and graduate a lot of talent. Pettit will be a huge part of the Mountain Hawks offense next season as a contributor and a leader.
