The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) has announced a slew of rookie signings ahead of training camp which is set to start on Friday at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
Of the signings announces thus far, four are players that were drafted in the inaugural PLL draft last month. Tim Troutner Jr. was the first draftee to sign as he did so over the weekend.
The Whipsnakes LC have signed LSM Isaac Paparo who they drafted 16th overall in the third round. The short-statured LSM out of UMass has one of the best motors in the game and plays with much finesse. As a senior for the Minutemen he scooped up 62 ground ball while also tallying 9 points (2G,7A).
Attackman Clarke Petterson has signed with the Redwoods LC who drafted Petterson 5th overall in the first round. Petterson is one of the best off-ball finishers in the game and brings a lot to the table at the next level. As a senior at Cornell Petterson had 62 points (44G,18A).
Chrome LC has signed faceoff man Connor Farrell who they selected 22nd overall in the fourth a round. More of an unknown name due to playing division two, Farrell is a game changer at the faceoff dot. During his senior year at LIU Post Farrell went 302-393, leading DII in faceoff percentage with .814.
In addition to the three draft picks that signed with PLL clubs today, Chaos LC signed midfielder Eric Scott and Redwoods LC signed midfielder Brendan Caputo. Scott played in college at Yale, graduating in 2017 and Caputo played at Brown where he graduated in 2016.
