There has been a lot of news in the world of recruiting over the past week. Maryland has flipped a 2019 while Johns Hopkins, Brown, and other have picked up commitments in the class of 2020.

West Chester Henderson (Pa.) senior faceoff man/midfielder Luke Wierman has flipped from Fairfield to Maryland, getting out of his NLI. The  5-foot-11, 185 pound senior is very versatile, being able to take faceoffs and then stay on and run an offensive shift.

Wierman flipping from Fairfield to Maryland comes just a few weeks after Andy Copelan stepped down as the head coach at Fairfield.

2020 Calvert Hall (Md.) faceoff man Tyler Dunn has committed to Johns Hopkins. The junior is able to use his hand speed to dominate the faceoff dot and can exit very well in a variety ways. He helped lead the Cardinals to their third straight MIAA ‘A’ Conference championship this spring.

Denver has picked up a commitment from attackman Michael Lampert. The attackman has great vision and a knack for feeing the rock. While he isn’t the biggest guy out there his speed, hands, and IQ certainly make up for it.

Lampert, a former Wayland (Mass.) standout, will take a post-grad year at Brewester (N.H.), reclassifying from a 2019 to 2020.

Norfolk Academy (Va.) attackman/midfielder Ben Locke has committed to Brown. The junior is a strong outside shooter, but can also make things happen as a dodger with his speed. He can make plays from multiple spots on the field. Locke also plays football and basketball.

In addition, former Sprinside Chestnut Hill (Pa.) standout Mac McLaughlin will be heading to Saint Joseph’s in the fall. The attackman spent one season at Navy Prep after committing to Navy in high school, graduating in 2018.
