Following a 14-year career, Colorado Mammoth transition player Brad Self has announced his retirement. Self spent his last three seasons playing for the Colorado Mammoth.
The Peterborough, ON native tallied seven points (4G/3A) and chased down 23 loos balls in six games last season with the Mammoth. Self has a career total of 281 points (103/176), scooped up 904 loose balls, and caused 124 turnovers.
Self started his NLL career with the Ottawa Rebels in 2002-03. He also played for the Philadelphia Wings, Chicago Shamrox, Rochester Knighthawks, Buffalo Bandits, and Colorado Mammoth during his career.
Upon retiring, Self will be joining the Colorado Mammoth front office as assistant General Manager. Self has worked in the Mammoth front office since 2018 as their youth lacrosse development manager.
In addition to Self retiring and joining the front office, the Mammoth have named Pat Coyle as general manager. Coyle has served as head coach of the Mammoth for seven seasons and also served as the interim general manager last season.
