It was a back-and-forth battle as Chaos LC was able to avenge their week one loss, taking down Whipsnakes LC 13-12. Deemer Class scored the game-winner for Chaos before they ran out the clock in the final seconds to secure the win.
Just 16 seconds into the game Bryce Young ripped one from the outside to get Whipsnakes on the board first. Jarrod Neumann got Chaos going with one of his signature two-point bombs, giving Chaos a 2-1 lead early on. The first quarter ended with things all knotted at 3 as Matt Rambo tied things up for Whipsnakes late in the quarter.
Things were back-and-forth for most of the second quarter as well. Connor Fields and Mike Scott both seemed to defy the laws of physics with two insane goals to help give Chaos a lot of momentum, especially on the offensive end. Whipsnakes only saw the ball go in the back of the net twice in the second as Jay Carlson converted off a beautiful feed from Matt Rambo and Joe Nardella scored right off the faceoff win.
Coming out of the half with a 7-5 lead, Chaos was able to build on that and maintain the lead in the third. However, Whipsnakes really started to get going again as well with Ryan Drenner catching fire, scoring three goals in the third quarter alone. Chaos was able to take a 12-9 lead heading into the fourth, following a Matt Rees goal that stretched their lead.
John Haus intercepted a terrible outlet pass from Blaze Riorden and put it right back in the cage to cut the Chaos lead to 12-10 early in the fourth. Haus then brought the Whipsnakes within one late in the game before Mike Chanenchuk tied things up at 12 with 3:14 in the game. Eric Scott found Demmer Class open on the wing for an outside rip to help secure the 13-12 win for Chaos.
