On Tuesday afternoon, the Buffalo Bandits announced that they had extended Matt Vinc’s contract through the 2021-22 season. Vinc came to Buffalo via free agency last season and signed an initial contract that was set to expire following the 2020-21 season.
Vinc helped lead the Bandits to an NLL Finals appearance last season, losing to Calgary 2-1 in the best of three series. Vinc ranked first in goals against average with (10.02) and second in save percentage (.803) last season.
A St. Catherines (Ont.) native, Vinc was named the NLL Goalie of The Year for the second year in a row. Vic has won the award seven times in his career.
In addition to his time in Buffalo, the 13-year veteran has spent time in San Jose, New York, Orlando, and Rochester during his career.
