In an absolutely dominating victory, Whipsnakes LC defeated Redwoods LC to help them become the second team in PLL history to clinch a playoff berth. Whipsnakes took control of the game early and never looked back as they devoured Redwoods in the 17-4 win.

Whipsnakes really used their transition game as an advantage in this one, creating a ton of opportunities on the run. In addition, their defense was able to stifle the Redwoods offense, limit their touches, and really make them look timid as a unit.

Matt Rambo got Whipsnakes on the board just 15 seconds into the first, and they never looked back. Minway through the first, Matt Chanechuck ended a beautiful transition sequence with a two-pointer to push the Whipsnakes lead to 3-0. The Whipsnakes lead was pushed to 4-0 after a Drew Snider goal right on the crease.

Much of the same continued through the second as Whipsnakes stepped up on both ends of the field, and giving Redwoods all they had. Sergio Salcido finally found the back of the net for Redwoods midway through the second to finally halt the Whipsnakes eight-goal run.

With a 12-1 lead coming out of the half, Whipsnakes continued their impressive run with Joe Nardella scoring just a few seconds into the third. Wes Berg scored the first goal for Redwoods in the third, capitalizing off an open net opportunity to get them their second goal of the game. Whipsnakes continued to dominate through the end of the third, taking a 17-3 lead into the fourth.

Clarke Petterson scored the lone goal in the fourth quarter for Redwoods to get them their fourth and final goal of the game. Both sides somewhat slowed down in the final quarter as any sort of comeback Redwoods had was long gone.
