It was a do or die situation for Archers LC as they need the win to clinch the final spot in the playoffs. While Whipsnakes LC looked pretty strong early on, it was Archers who took control in the second half and really relied on the play of goalie Drew Adams and their whole defense to help lead them to victory.

Marcus Holman got Archers on the board first, but Matt Rambo answered less than a minute later for Whipsnakes. Archers went on a two-goal run midway through the first, giving them a ton of energy and helping them get ahead 4-1. Whipsnakes found some life again near the end of the quarter with Matt Rambo cutting the Archers lead to 4-2.

Whipsnakes continued their run in the second with Ryan Drenner scoring early in the quarter. Mike Chanechuck extended their run with a two-point bomb followed by goals from Tim Mueller and Connor Kelly. In addition, Whipsnakes defense showed up big, blanking the Archers offense in the second.

The third saw a ton of defensive play on both ends of the field. Neither team was allowed many quality opportunities on the offensive end with both defensive units locking down. However, Archers did find their offense in spurts with Marcus Holman scoring early in the period and Will Manny scoring in the final minutes of the third. In addition, Tom Schreiber ripped a two-point bomb at the buzzer, giving Archers an 8-7 lead.

While Whipsnakes came back a bit and found their stride once again in the fourth, Archers was able to hang on with Will Manny helping to continue their run early in the quarter. Whipsnakes had some chances in the final minutes, but the Archers defense stood tall to help secure the win.
