Rutgers and Georgetown are set to face each other in the second annual Saint Louis Lacrosse Fall Classic at Lindenwood University. It will be the first meeting between the two programs since the 2013 season when both were in the Big East. This years event is set for October, 5th at 7pm.

The inaugural Saint Louis Lacrosse Fall Classic last year pegged Michigan and Boston U. up against each other.

Entering its second year, the Saint Louis Lacrosse Fall Classic sees all proceeds donated to the Children’s Hospital in Saint Louis, MO. In addition to the game, there is also a youth clinic for boys and girls that Rutgers is hosting as well.

This will be an early look at two teams that look to keep building on their success in recent years. Georgetown won their second straight Big East conference championship last season and lost to Yale in the NCAA tournament first round, and does lose some key pieces. Rutgers had a bit of a down year last season compared to their recent success, losing in the first round of the Big Ten tournament to Maryland, but they bring back a very talented offensive unit.

Even though it’s fall ball and no team is 100% groomed for the season yet, this should be a fairly good contest between two high caliber teams. Saint Louis, MO lacrosse fans are surely in for a treat this October.
