The contact period for the class of 2021 officially opened at midnight on September 1st, and there have already been multiple commitments in the first few days.
Valor Christian (Colo.)/Denver Elite LSM/defenseman Trey Digby announced his commitment to Denver on September 1st. The 6-foot-5, 175 pound junior was the first commitment following the contact period being open.
Long and athletic, Digby is not only an aggressive cover man, but can also be a threat in transition and on the offensive end. The junior knows how to put the ball on the carpet and ignite early offense that is very crucial in the shot clock era of the college game.
North Shore (N.Y.)/Rebels attackman Forrest Demetri– a two-time All-County selection- has announced his commitments to Brown.
The junior has a deep bag of tricks, being able to find the back of the net from multiple spots on the field. Demetri has the ability to lead an offense with his ability to score and feed effectively.
Deerfield (Mass.)/3d New England midfielder Kade Goldberg has committed to North Carolina. The 5-foot-8, 170 pound midfielder isn’t the biggest player, but he certainly makes up for that with his play on the field.
Goldberg is a speed dodger, being able to beat his man and get to the cage from up top and behind the cage at ‘x’. He also has the vision and IQ to be a threat as a feeder, as well as a goal scorer.
Yale has picked up a commitment from Chaminade (N.Y.)/Team 91 faceoff/midfielder Machando Rodriguez. Inside Lacrosse has Rodriguez ranked as the #66 player in the 2021 class.
In addition, Syracuse commit Dante Kulas out of Holy Trinity Catholic (Ont.) has reclassified from a 2020 to a 2021. Inside Lacrosse’s Ty Xanders first reported the news on Sunday afternoon.
