
On Friday, October 4th, Harvard host Team Israel in a scrimmage in a scrimmage that will be aired on ESPN +. Faceoff is currently set for 8:00 pm ET/ 3:00 am IDT.
In this scrimmage, fans will get their first glimpse of Harvard under new head coach Gerry Byrne and his staff. Byrne was hired as the Crimson’s head coach on June 29th, replacing former head coach Chris Wojcik. It will also be Israel’s first time playing under new head coach Max Silberlicht who was named the head coach of the Israeli national team back in January of this year.
Israel’s scrimmage against Harvard is their first stop on their Boston Showcase which features multiple scrimmages against the Israeli men’s and women’s national teams against DI programs in the greater Boston and Rhode Island area.
After their scrimmage against Harvard on Friday, the Israel men’s national team will face Boston U. on Saturday and Brown on Sunday. These scrimmages will be Israel’s first big training event as they prepare for the 2020 European Championships in Wroclaw, Poland.
