2020 Schedule Preview: Marist Red Foxes

The Marist Red Foxes are the 16th DI team to release their 2020 schedule. The Red Foxes are coming off a 2019 campaign in which they 10-7 overall, 6-1 in the MAAC, won the MAAC tournament, and made it to the NCAA tournament.

Key Games

2/14 @ Richmond

The Red Foxes’ first road contest of the season will be against the defending SoCon champions Richmond. It will be the first all-time meeting between the two programs.

2/25 vs Hartford

Last season, Marist defeated Hartford 14-13. Joe Tierney and Jake Weinman scored two straight late in the game to secure the win for the Red Foxes. Playing just three times since 2003, Marist will be looking for their third all-time win over Hartford and second since 1994. Hartford leads the all-time series 8-2.

3/14 vs Quinnipiac 

Marist starts their kicks off conference play against 2019 MAAC runner-up Quinnipiac. The Red Foxes defeated the Bobcats twice last season, winning 12-8 in the regular season and 15-14 in the MAAC championship game. In 16 meetings, the series is tied at 8-8. 

4/11 @ Detroit Mercy

The only conference loss for Marist last season came against Detroit Mercy. The Titans won 12-11, ending the game on a four-goal run to secure the win after being down 11-8 early in the fourth. The Red Foxes will be looking to end a two game losing streak against the Titans and get their first win in Detroit since 2016.
