Ranked as the number one player in the 2020 class by Inside Lacrosse, O’Neill has wowed fans for many years now. Compared to the likes of John Grant Jr. and Gary Gait, O’Neill is expected to have an immediate impact day one in Durham with his skill, speed, and sheer size. Also, His finishing ability is practically unmatched at the high school level.

The attackman originally committed to Penn State in the eigth grade (2016) before the rule change. He sent shockwaves through the lacrosse world last fall when he de-committed from Penn State on October 17th, 2018 and announced his commitment to Duke later that day.

Additionally, O’Neill’s St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) teammates Jake Naso (FO) and Aidan Daneza also signed their NLI’s with Duke today, as well. Naso and Daneza are also ranked in the top 100 of Inside Lacrosse’s 2020 rankings.
