Key Games

2/15 vs Yale

These two teams have created some instant overtime classics over the past two seasons with Villanova besting Yale in 2018 and 2019. Last year, the Wildcats pulled off the upset in New Haven with Connor Kirst scoring the game-winner to seal the victory for Villanova after Joseph Sessa scored late for Yale to send the game to overtime.

3/6 @ Penn (Philly 4 Lacrosse Classic)

Philly foes, these two have also put together some great contest over the past two seasons with Villanova winning by two goals in 2018 and Penn winning by two goals in 2019. Last season, Penn went on a six-goal run to start the game to help them get ahead, keep the lead, and secure the win. Additionally, Penn’s win over Villanova was the start of their 12-gam winning streak that lasted until the NCAA quarterfinals.

4/4 vs Denver

Last season, these two split their two meetings as Villanova defeated Denver in the regular season and Denver got pay back in the Big East tournament, ending the Wildcats’ season. As always, this game will be a big one as Denver should be back at the top of the Big East again, even after a down year.
