Key Games
2/8 @ Johns Hopkins
Towson will open up their season against fellow Baltimore foe and rival Johns Hopkins. Last season, Towson beat up the Blue Jays pretty handedly, winning 17-8. However, last seasons victory was just Towson’s third over Johns Hopkins this decade and sixth all-time. The Blue Jays hold a 41-6 all-time series lead.
2/26 @ Loyola
Last year’s meeting between these two rivals was one of the most hyped matchups of the season and ended with Towson edging Loyola 12-10. With this contest set to be a midweek game again, the hype around this rivalry will certainly still be high but things may look a little different with both the Tigers and Greyhounds losing a heap of talent.
3/21 @ Denver
The Pioneers secured their third consecutive win over the Tigers last season and were the only team to hold them under 10 points all season, winning a low-scoring 7-6 contest. The Tigers will be looking to secure their first win over Denver since they upset the Pioneers in the NCAA tournament in 2016.
4/27 vs Drexel
Towson won both meetings between these two last season, winning 11-9 in the regular season and 16-14 in the CAA championship game, escaping a tough late-game efforts rom the Dragons in both games. With this series dating back to 1962, Towson holds a 44-10 series lead and is currently on an eight-game win streak against the Dragons. That streak includes CAA championship matchups in 2015,2016, 2017, and 2019.
