Key Games
2/25 vs Mount St. Mary’s
The Mountaineers gave the Hoyas quite a scare last season, holding a 10-9 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Georgetown went on a four-goal run in the fourth to take the lead and help them escape with a narrow 13-11 victory. The Hoyas’ last loss to the Mountaineer came in 2016 when they took an 11-8 loss at home.
3/7 @ Towson
Last season, Towson gave Georgetown their first loss of the season with a 14-8 victory. With Towson having lost some significant talent from last season, the Hoyas will be looking to avenge last seasons loss and secure their second win over the Tigers in their last five meetings.
3/28 vs Denver
The Hoyas and Pioneers have churned out some pretty good games over the past two seasons, meeting in the Big East championship in 2018 and 2019. Last season, Denver won the regular-season meeting, 16-9, and Georgetown got revenge in the Big East championship game, besting the Pioneers 12-9. This should be another highly competitive matchup between these two conference foes.
4/4 vs Providence
While the Friars have only beaten the Hoyas once in program history, they have played them very tightly over the past few seasons. Last season, Georgetown defeated the Friars 17-15 in the regular season and 13-12 in the Big East semifinals. In their Big East tournament matchup last season, Georgetown was down by as many as three at multiple points in the game and had to go on a four-goal run late in the fourth to secure the win.
