Key Games

2/22 @ Hartford

The Golden Griffins will open up with five straight road contest, including a matchup against Hartford team who they defeated 16-12 at home last season. Last season’s meeting between these two saw Canisius start on a 4-0 run before Hartford answered with a 7-0 run. The Golden Griffins were able to comeback and escape with the win, despite a strong effort from the Hawks.

3/14 vs Manhattan

Last season, the Jaspers upset the Golden Griffins to snap a 12-game losing streak to Canisius. This game should be an intense once again in 2020 as Manhattan tries to start a winning streak against the Golden Griffins. Canisius will most certainly want to get payback for last year’s loss.

3/28 @ Marist

Marist defeated Canisius twice last season. In these two’s regular season finale Marist claimed a 10-8 victory and in the MAAC semifinals Marist defeated Canisius once again, winning 11-10. In both contest, Marist was able to go on big runs to help get ahead and secure the victory. With the Red Foxes’ returning multiple key pieces on offense, this matchup will likely be the toughest Canisius faces in the MAAC.
