The Stony Brook Seawolves are the 49th DI team to announce their 2020 men’s lacrosse schedule. Over the summer, former Towson assistant Anthony Gilardi was hired as the Seawolves next had coach, replacing Jim Nagle who parted ways with the university in May.

Key Games

2/25 vs Hofstra

The Long Island Rivalry will be renewed in late February, as usual. The Seawolves won last year’s contest 11-10, breaking a two-game losing streak in the series. Hofstra leads the all-time series 4-6, but each squad has won two contest since the series was renewed in 2016 after a brief hiatus.

3/7 @ Bryant

Last season, the Seawolves beat the Bulldogs 9-8 in a very tightly contested game. Stony Brook will be looking to get their second consecutive win over the Bulldogs, and fourth all-time, in 2020. In last year’s contest Chris Pickle scored the game-winner for Stony Brook with 19 seconds left in the fourth.

3/14 vs Hartford

Stony Brook’s only regular season loss in the America East came against the Hartford Hawks. Hartford was able to get an early lead and maintain it for the majority of the game. Stony Brook scored two consecutive goals late in the game to pull within one, but couldn’t secure the comeback. This one will be circled for the Seawolves in 2020 for sure.
