Key Games

2/9 vs Hartford

The Pioneers open up their regular season at home against Connecticut foe Hartford. In last season’s meeting, these two teams were neck-and-neck for most of the game. Sacred Heart was able to secure the 16-12 victory, ending the game on a three-goal run to help them get ahead.

3/7 vs Providence

Last season, the Pioneers edged the Friars in a 17-16 victory on the road. Sacred Heart went on a three-goal run late in the game to help them pull ahead. The Pioneer’s defense was able to subdue a Providence comeback  to secure the win. This year’s meeting could be just as close and interesting between these two teams, especially considering the talent that both programs lost from last season.

3/28 @ Hobart

The Hobart Statesmen defeated Sacred Heart twice last season. Once in the regular season and in the NEC semifinals. In the regular season, Hobart won 10-9 and in the NEC tournament they won 14-13. The Pioneers will surely be circling this date and looking to avenge both of those close losses last season.
