Key Games
3/7 @ Princeton
The rivalry between these two New Jersey foes will be renewed when they meet in early March to battle for the Meistrell Cup. Rutgers won last year’s battle, 9-8, despite not scoring a single goal in the second half. The Scarlet Knights warded off a Princeton comeback to claim the Meistrell Cup for the second time in three years. Princeton leads the all-time series 63-31-3.
4/4 vs Johns Hopkins
Last year, Johns Hopkins got the best of Rutgers, winning 15-13 at home. The Scarlet Knights kept chipping away at the Blue Jays lead, but they never were able to put together a complete comeback. In 2020, Rutgers will be looking to claim their first victory over Johns Hopkins since 2016.
4/25 vs Penn State
Rutgers and Penn State met in the regular season and in the Big Ten tournament last season. Penn State won both meetings, but Rutgers gave them a bit of trouble during the regular season, as Penn State won 14-13. Kieran Mullins put Rutgers up 13-12 late in the fourth, but Penn State rattled off two straight to end the game and secure the win.
