Welcome to week six of the 2019-20 NLL season, Y’all!

It’s another light week in the NLL with just two games on the docket this weekend, and both games are on Saturday night. Philadelphia will travel to New York for and Vancouver will travel to Colorado. Both are divisional matchups.

Vancouver vs Colorado is the Game of The Week and will be streamed for FREE on B/R Live and Twitter.

Week Six Storylines

Baptiste, Crowley Nearing Benchmarks

Philadelphia’s Trevor Baptiste and Kevin Crowley can both meeting career benchmarks in the Wings’ road game against the New York Riptide on Saturday night.

Baptiste, who can go down as the best faceoff man in the history of the NLL, can reach 400 faceoff wins on Saturday night. And it with only six wins to reach that benchmark, he will likely get that record 400th win during the first half. Also, the second-year faceoff man would have reached 400 faceoff wins in just 21 career games.

Crowley is three goals away from reaching 300 career goals. If he and the Wings’ offense is able to catch fire against the struggling Riptide, Crowley could very much reach that career 300th goal.

Can Colorado Keep Rolling?

The Colorado Mammoth come into Saturday’s game against Vancouver on a two-game winning streak, beating Calgary and Georgia in their last two contest. They will look to continue their hot streak against a Vancouver team that will be looking to bounce back from a tough overtime loss against San Diego.

Colorado starting hot our of the gates is much different sight than last season when they stumbled early in the season. After nearly a month in between their first and second games, this third consecutive game in a row will be a test to the durability of their young core and we should really get to see what this team is made of.

Behind a star-studded goalie in Dillon Ward, the Mammoth’s defense has been one of the driving forces behind their early-season success. But whether that young offense powered by Ryan Lee and Jacob Ruest can come out with the same firepower this weekend will the one of the biggest things to watch in this contest.
