Key Games
2/8 @ High Point
One of the biggest upsets last season was when the High Point Panthers came into Durham and took down the Blue Devils. This year, Duke will look to avoid such an upset as they travel to High Point to take on the Panthers, who no longer have Tim Troutner who made 19 saves to help secure last year’s historic win for the Panthers.
2/28 vs Richmond
Duke and Richmond faced each other twice last season, including a meeting in the first round of the NCAA tournament. Duke won both of those meetings last season, but Richmond was able to put up a fight in both. This year’s meeting between these two could see a similar result.
3/22 vs Syracuse
Duke begins ACC play at home against the Syracuse Orange, a team who they haven’t beaten since the 2016 ACC tournament. Last season, Syracuse took down the Blue Devils in overtime. With the personnel changes for Syracuse and high expectations for both squads, this one could very well be a close game just as it was in 2019.
4/9 @ Virginia
The Blue Devils close out ACC play against the defending national champion Virginia Cavaliers. Last season, Duke defeated Virginia 12-7 in the regular season but fell to the Cavaliers for the first time since 2010 in an overtime loss in the NCAA semifinals. After winning 14 out of the last 14 meetings between these two, Duke looks to get back in the win column against Virginia in 2020.
