Key Games
2/29 vs Wagner
After only winning one game a season ago, Mercer opens the season with three of their four games being “winnable.” While The Bears and Seahawks haven’t met since 2017, Mercer has won all four of their previous meetings and will be looking to get a win in 2020, as well.
3/21 vs Mercer
The Bears fell to the Paladins by one goal last season, losing 15-14. Mercer was able to comeback after being down 9-3 at the half, but couldn’t finish the job. As usual, this game could possibly be a deciding factor for that final spot in the SoCon tournament, as well, with Furman and Mercer both trying to get back to the postseason after missing out multiple years.
4/18 vs VMI
Mercer’s lone win last season came on the road against the Keydets. The Bears went into Lexington, Va., and pulled out the 16-8 victory. Having faced VMI every year since 2011, Mercer hasn’t lost to them since that 2012 and holds a 7-2 all-time record against the Keydets.
