Key Games
2/8 vs NJIT
The Hawks and Highlanders have played each other every year since the inception of NJIT’s program in 2015. After winning their first four meetings, Monmouth took an 8-5 loss against NJIT last season. Monmouth suffered a 30-plus minute scoring drought which help lead to their loss against the Highlanders.
4/4 vs Quinnipiac
Last season was Monmouth’s first to not qualify for the MAAC tournament since their inaugural season. However, they only one of their four conference loses came by more than three goals, at the most. One of those one-goal defeats was against the Bobcats of Quinnipiac, losing 10-9. A four-goal run to start the game for the Bobcats helped them get ahead early and stay in front.
4/24 vs Detroit Mercy
In a very slow contest against the Titans last season, Monmouth found themselves down 3-1 at the half. And while their offense did finally wake up late in the game, outscoring Detroit Mercy 3-1 in the fourth, they couldn’t get enough going to force a comeback as they lost 6-4. The Hawks will definitely be looking to put together a much better game against the Titans in 2020.
