The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) has announced that they will be heading to Atlanta, Ga., on June 6th-7th for the second week of the 2020 season.

This announcement comes after the league announced that they would be heading to Boston for week one of the 2020 season.

Week two of the 2020 season will mark the leagues second ever trip to Atlanta. However, Fifth Third Bank Stadium on the campus of Kennesaw State University will play host to the league this year. Last season, the league chose Georgia State Stadium as the venue in Atlanta.

“We had a fantastic turnout in our inaugural season as fans packed the stadium to see local stars like Myles Jones and Scott Ratliff. Additionally, we’re seeing a surge in lacrosse participation throughout the region,” said PLL Co-Founder and Atlas LC midfielder Paul Rabil in a release from the league

Fifth Third Bank Stadium is the home of the Kennesaw State Owls’ football and women’s lacrosse and soccer teams. Atlanta United UTD 2 of the USL also plays their home games at the stadium, as well.

The stadium was also the home of the MLL’s Atlanta Blaze from 2016-2018 and hosted the ACC Men’s lacrosse tournament in 2016 and the MLL’s championship game in 2014, 2015, and 2016.

According to the league, the 2020 season will be played over fifteen weeks and stretch from May to September. More 2020 stops should be announced over the coming months as the season draws closer.
