The Buffalo Bandits have announced that they have signed forward Garrett Billings to a one-year deal.
Billings comes to Buffalo after spending last season with the San Diego Seals during their inaugural season. He helped lead San Diego to a playoff appearance, recording 83 points (18G/65) during the regular season. He dished out two assists in the Seals’ lone playoff game last season.
A nine-year veteran, Billings was taken sixth overall in the 2009 NLL Draft by Toronto, where he played from 2010-2014. He also spent one season in New England before playing in Vancouver for two seasons (2016,2017).
The Langley, British Columbia native has tallied a career total of 666 points (198G/468A).
He joins an offense in Buffalo which is currently the lowest-scoring offense in the league, despite being headlined by the likes of Josh Byrne, Dhane Smith, Chris Cloutier, and others. As a right-handed forward, Billings can certainly help add some more experienced and quality talent to that side of the offense.
