On Saturday afternoon, Toronto Rock Owner, President and, GM Jamie Dawick announced that forward Tom Schreiber would be out for tonight’s game against the Buffalo Bandits due to an upper-body injury.
In the wake of Schreiber being moved to the Injured Reserve list, the Rock have moved rookie defenseman Jamison Dilks from the Practice Roster to the Active Roster.
Schreiber has tallied 17 points (4G/6A) through the first four games of the season, tied for the second in scoring for the Rock. Last game, the four-year player tallied four points (1G/3A) to help secure a 13-12 home win against the Rochester Knighthawks.
Toronto will now be without Schreiber and Adam Jones, who were two of the Rock’s top three scorers last season, against the Buffalo Bandits tonight. Jones went down with an upper-body injury in Toronto’s home opener against the New England Black Wolves on December 7th.
Additionally, this is the second reported upper-body injury for Schreiber over the past four months, following his shoulder dislocation that occurred during the PLL playoffs back in September.
