Duke junior attackman Joe Robertson would have surgery to repair a torn ACL, thus sidelining him for the entire 2020 season. Inside Lacrosse first reported the new Monday morning.

The junior attackman led the Blue Devils in scoring last season, putting up 59 points (42G/17A). Additionally, Robertson ranked third in the ACC in points and fourth in the conference in goals last season.

With Robertson out for the entire season, the Blue Devils will have to lean on senior Joey Manown to be the leader at the attack spot this season. Senior CJ Carpenter and Reily Walsh look to be the other two starting attackmen for the Blue Devils this season. Freshman Dyson Williams could also see some significant time, as well.

Also, the Duke has announced that sophomore defenseman Wilson Stephenson will be out for the rest of the season as he recovers from a broken leg suffered in the NCAA tournament last season.

The Blue Devils lost their season opener at home against Air Force on Saturday. Their next two contest will be on the road at High Point on Feb. 8th and at Denver on Feb. 15th.
