On Monday afternoon, the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) announced that Chrome LC had traded midfielder Romar Dennis and the 20th pick in the 2020 draft to Atlas LC for the 17th pick in the 2020 draft.
This trade comes after Chrome left Dennis unprotected ahead of the expansion draft and he did not get selected by Waterdogs LC. Following the expansion draft there was a report that Dennis would request a trade from Chrome.
During the regular season last year, Dennis saw action in all 10 games and tallied six points (4G/2A). He also recorded two caused turnovers and seven ground balls, as well. In Chrome’s two postseason games, Dennis took four shots on goal and scooped up three ground balls.
Head coach Ben Rubeor and Atlas get a steal with this trade. The 6-foot-5, 230-pound midfielder can thrive in the correct system. His ability to dodge and shoot on the run is second-to-none, and he can make play on both ends – which has to be a crucial aspect of any teams game in the PLL.
On Atlas, Dennis will be inserted into an offense that includes players like Paul Rabil and Connor Buczek at the midfield, and Eric Law and Ryan Brown at attack. Law and Dennis have played together previously and made a good attack-midfield duo.
