Tewaaraton Won’t Be Handed Out in 2020, Final Watch List Announced

According to a press release from the Tewaarton Foundation, no awards will be handed out for the 2020 season. However, they did release a final watch list from this past season.

“There is disappointment throughout college lacrosse and, in particular, those who are seniors who will not return. This was to be our 20th Tewaaraton Award Ceremony and while we share in the disappointment, we also hope our achievement of 20 years following our first 2001 event serves as a reminder of how we will look ahead,“ said Jeffrey Harvey, chairman of the  Tewaaraton Foundation in a release.

In addition to the annual Tewaaraton Awards handed out to the best men’s and women’s college lacrosse player in the country, Bill Belichick was to be given the 2020 Spirit of Tewaaraton award and Dave Pietramala and Kelly Amonte-Hiller were scheduled to be Legends honorees at the 2020 even. All three will be honored at the 2021 ceremony.
