Ohio State senior short stick defensive midfielder Ryan Terefenko has announced that he will return to Ohio State next season. Terefenko made the announcement via Instagram on Wednesday evening.
Terefenko’s decision comes just days after the NCAA Division I Council voted to grant spring sport athletes an extra year of eligibility.
The Sinking Spring, Pa. native has been an impact player on the defensive end as a short stick defensive midfielder since his freshman season in Columbus in 2017. He is a Three-time USILA All-American (2017, 2018, 2019) and a Two-time first team All-Big Ten selection (2018 and 2019). He was jus named a first-team 2020 Maverik Men’s DI Media All-American earlier today by Inside Lacrosse.
In the Buckeyes’ seven games this past season, Terefenko tallied six points (2G/4A) and scooped up 30 ground balls.
