World Lacrosse has announced that the Men’s U19 World Championships, which were schedule for July 9-18 of 2020, will be held in 2021. Limerick, Ireland will remain the location of the championships.
Additionally, World Lacrosse has announced that they will raise the age eligibility to U20 for the tournament so that players who would qualify this year can still play next year. However, the lower age eligibility of 16 will remain the same.
Also, teams that had not originally entered the 2020 event can submit applications to play in 2021 and will be considered by World Lacrosse.
This announcement comes just two weeks after World Lacrosse announced that the Men’s U19 Championship would be moved due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
