Major League Lacrosse (MLL) has announced that a player tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday night. Due to this positive test, the league has tested every player and coach, and has pushed back the semifinals three hours each.
Multiple sources close to the situation indicated to Lacrosse Bucket last night that there had been multiple positive test and that the remainder of the season was in sever jeopardy. However, the league has only announced one confirmed positive test thus far and is awaiting the results of the onsite testing that took place this morning.
Two teams, New York and Philadelphia, have already has personnel leave the bubble.
Due to the onsite testing this morning, the MLL semifinals have been pushed back from 2pm and 1pm and 4pm to 4pm and 7pm. No. 1 seed Denver is set to face No. 4 seed Boston and No. 2 seed Chesapeake is set to play No. 3 seed Connecticut. Both are rematches of the two games played yesterday.
