Kevin Warne and the Georgetown Hoyas got some good news on Saturday, as 2021 Deerfield, Mass., midfielder Kade Goldberg flipped his commitment from North Carolina, who he had signed with in November, to the Hoyas.
Goldberg becomes the 11th member of the Hoyas’ 2021 class and third midfielder, alongside Crawford Bundy out of MICDS, Mo., and Michael Haus out of Loyola Blakefield, Md. He is also the second Deerfield player in the class, joining goalie Michael Scharfenberger.
A native of South Florida, Goldberg is on the smaller side but certainly makes up it in other areas of his game. On film, he shows an impressive dodging ability, which is only aided by his speed, footwork, and quick change of direction. He also knows how to get to the middle of the field and make a play, whether it be a shot or a pass, and does possess the ability to invert behind the cage at ‘X’.
Goldberg is rated as a four-star and ranked as the No. 47 player in the class of 2021, per Inside Lacrosse.
